Jay Renfro
Founder & Executive Director, Tennessee Nature Academy
As a Teach for America fellow, Renfro taught science to middle-schoolers in Nashville, integrating outdoor experiences like camping and citizen science projects and piloting several aspects of Tennessee Nature Academy's school model. A Nashville native, Renfro graduated from Templeton Honors College at Eastern University in 2013 with a degree in environmental studies and earned a master’s of education in instructional practice from Lipscomb University in 2014.
