Dr. Patrick O’Hagan

Assistant Vice President of Economic & Workforce Development, Chattanooga State Community College

Dr. O’Hagan leads the college’s noncredit training division. With over a decade of experience as a workforce development professional, he has worked collaboratively with industry and business leaders to develop meaningful and impactful training programs to address the region’s needs. O’Hagan was instrumental in establishing the college’s first college-sponsored registered apprenticeship programs. Before entering his current role with Chattanooga State, he worked as the lead career specialist in the American Job Center system, managing the Marion County Job Center. He is active in several community organizations, including the Marion County Chamber of Commerce (past president), Greater Marion County Manufacturers Association (founding member and association organizer), and the University of Tennessee Southern Alumni Board. O’Hagan earned his doctorate in higher education leadership from East Tennessee State University and is a graduate of Leadership Tennessee NEXT, the state’s only statewide leadership program focusing on Tennessee’s existing and emerging leaders across all industry sectors.
