Educators, students, parents, and stakeholders in education from across the state will gather Monday, October 28, to celebrate Tennessee’s progress in student achievement at the 2013 SCORE Prize. The event will announce the Tennessee district, elementary school, middle school, and high school that have most dramatically improved student achievement. The winning schools will receive $10,000 and the winning district will be awarded $25,000.

Dr. Bill Frist, founder of SCORE and former U.S. Senator Majority leader, is the host, and Governor Bill Haslam and SCORE President and CEO Jamie Woodson will deliver remarks. Special guest singer Jo Dee Messina will perform.

Listen as Dr. Frist, Ms. Messina and educators and students from last year’s winning schools and districts explain what is special about the SCORE prize in this video. And be sure to join us at 6 p.m. CT in Laura Turner Concert Hall, Schermerhorn Symphony Center, in Nashville.
