Brent Parton

President & CEO, CareerWise

Parton oversees strategic partnerships and growth for CareerWise, particularly in New York City. With experience in both the public and private sectors, he has shaped national policies to align education and workforce systems for better youth and community outcomes, including for both the Obama and Biden administrations. Most recently, as acting assistant secretary for the Employment and Training Administration at the U.S. Department of Labor, Parton managed a workforce development portfolio of over $3 billion. He also led workforce initiatives at the National Governors Association and New America, where he co-founded the Partnership to Advance Youth Apprenticeship. He holds degrees from Vanderbilt University and lives in Washington, D.C.
