Dr. Brian Noland
President, East Tennessee State University (ETSU)
As president of ETSU, Dr. Noland has helped advance the university as a national leader in interprofessional health care, rural health, and community engagement while overseeing ongoing innovations within ETSU’s academic portfolio and curricula, including the launch of BlueSky Institute. BlueSky’s 27-month computer science program, developed hand-in-hand with BlueCross BlueShield of Tennessee, provides students with training and mentoring at BCBS headquarters and job offers immediately following graduation. Noland is a current board member for the NCAA Division I Board of Directors, Ballad Health, and Bank of Tennessee. He is a past board member for the American Council on Education, the American Association of State Colleges and Universities, and the Tennessee Valley Authority.
