Glenn Jacobs
Mayor, Knox County
As Knox County mayor, Jacobs’ key projects include: Read City USA, an initiative to ensure that all children, regardless of socioeconomic background, learn to read early and well; the Knox County Skilled Trades Academy and Regional Training Center, which serves both adults who are continuing their education and Knox County high school students; and the Knox County Mayor’s TCAT Scholarship, supporting the children of Knox County employees. Before entering public service, Jacobs had a successful career in professional wrestling as the WWE Superstar known as “Kane.” He earned a bachelor’s degree in English literature from Northeast Missouri State University.
