Guests from the Tennessee Higher Education Commission (THEC) join David Mansouri to discuss THEC’s aim to make 2023 a momentum-building year for Tennessee students — a response to the downward trend in Tennessee’s college-going rate. THEC’s Chief Access & Outreach Officer Samantha Gutter and Senior Director for College Access Troy Grant outlined THEC’s goals for the initiative, which include:

  • Redefining college to make it more accessible to students 
  • Reaching underserved students
  • Helping adult learners rediscover new options for postsecondary success
