As Tennessee considers student-centered funding reform, we look at other states and communities that have experience with comprehensive funding reform and glean lessons learned along with opportunities to leverage reform to create greater college and career readiness.

In this Friday’s Focus, SCORE President and CEO David Mansouri leads a discussion with Todd Williams, chairman and chief executive officer of the Commit Partnership, to discuss their experience with using school funding reform in Texas as a means to improve academic outcomes and equity for all students.

The Commit Partnership, based in Dallas, Texas, is the nation’s largest local educational collective impact organization with over 200 institutions (including 15 school districts and eight higher-ed institutions educating more than 790,000 students.)

The Commit Partnership cultivates a collaborative educational ecosystem across school systems, higher education institutions, state and local governments, community organizations, and employers to positively impact education and workforce development across the North Texas region.
