Peter leads SCORE’s strategic research efforts, identifying and studying new and emerging trends that could advance student success in Tennessee and collaborating across the Research and Innovation team to apply the findings across the K-12 to career continuum. Previously, Peter led the Tennessee Educator Fellowship where he oversaw the growth of the fellowship to equip more educators across Tennessee to advocate for student-centered policies and practices. Before joining SCORE in 2015, he taught middle school mathematics and high school English in Memphis and served as a master teacher in Shelby County Schools. He serves on the board of EdReports.org, an independent nonprofit that helps educators leaders seek, identify, and demand the highest-quality instructional materials. Originally from New York, he earned his bachelor’s degree from Amherst College and a master’s degree in public policy from Vanderbilt University.
