Laura leads SCORE’s organizational alignment and strategy. Before joining SCORE in 2026, she served as executive director for the School of Public Policy at Lipscomb University. Laura began her career as a Teach For America corps member in St. Louis, followed by roles at the Tennessee State Board of Education and the Tennessee Department of Education. She also served as co-president of the National Institute for Excellence in Teaching. Laura earned a bachelor's degree from the University of Tennessee, a master’s in education from the University of Missouri-St. Louis, a master’s in public policy from Vanderbilt University, and is a Ph.D. candidate in leadership and policy studies at Lipscomb University.
