Lawand helps advance SCORE's research and innovation priorities by managing key data analysis, systems, and strategies. Prior to joining the team in 2025, Lawand worked as a senior consultant offering data expertise to projects that included an evaluation of Summer Boost, a program supporting COVID learning loss recovery among charter students in seven U.S. cities. He previously worked at SCORE as a graduate fellow in 2023 while completing a master’s in data sciences for public policy from Georgetown University. He also holds a bachelor’s degree in biomedical engineering from the University of Tennessee-Knoxville.
