Melanie leads SCORE’s finance and operations team and serves on our leadership team, with a focus on ensuring strategic advancement of organizational priorities. Prior to joining SCORE in 2025, she served as director of finance and operations at the Tennessee Public Charter School Commission, leading the strategic expansion of agency and district functions. A Texas native, Melanie began her career as a middle school humanities teacher. She holds a master’s degree in public policy from Vanderbilt University and a bachelor’s degree from Texas Christian University.
