SCORE Institute
Tennessee stands at a crossroads where the future prosperity of its students and its economy depends on better supporting students through education toward workforce opportunities. We need to better understand which degrees and credentials hold value in the workforce and then ensure all students can access pathways toward those credentials.
During this convening, SCORE will share a framework, outlined in a forthcoming report, that uses data to help Tennessee education leaders and students understand and assess the impact of specific degrees and credentials. Plus, we’ll hear from a panel of experts, each of whom worked alongside SCORE and other key stakeholders throughout the last year to inform the framework. Ultimately, this level of understanding will ensure students have the information they need to earn degrees that are better aligned to workforce need and enable economic independence.
Panelists:
We look forward to welcoming a panel of experts, each of whom worked alongside SCORE and other key stakeholders throughout the last year to inform the framework:
- Darrell Cobbins, Board Member, Tennessee State Board of Education
- Stephanie Coleman, Chief Talent Development Officer, Nashville Area Chamber of Commerce
- Dr. Steven Gentile, Executive Director, Tennessee Higher Education Commission
- Troy Grant, Vice Chancellor for Strategic Enrollment Management, Tennessee Board of Regents
