How Tennessee School Districts are Using AI

Tennessee leaders are eager to learn more about how Tennessee educators — district and school leaders as well as classroom teachers — are using artificial intelligence (AI) to support student learning. Nationwide, educators are among the leading users of AI across all industries. As Tennessee educators are already using AI, it’s important we learn from their pioneering efforts.

During this virtual SCORE Institute, we shared and discussed findings from a survey of Tennessee district leaders conducted in spring 2025. Panelists included representatives from Collierville Schools, Hamilton County Schools, the Sevier County School System, and the Tennessee Education Research Alliance (TERA). The webinar was co-sponsored by the organizations that conducted the survey: Tennessee Organization of School Superintendents (TOSS), the State Board of Education (SBE), and SCORE.

Now is the time to continue these important discussions and create more opportunity for Tennessee to learn from early adopters and AI pilots.
