Aleah leads SCORE’s policy and government relations work to improve outcomes for K-12 and postsecondary students in Tennessee. Prior to joining SCORE in 2020, Aleah served as director of policy at the Tennessee Department of Education. She began her career in education as a seventh-grade English teacher in Metro Nashville Public Schools. Aleah grew up in rural south Alabama, and she has been working in education in Tennessee since 2011. Aleah also holds a master’s degree in public policy from Peabody College at Vanderbilt University and a bachelor’s degree from Wofford College.
