WHY: As part of the process for developing the “ESEA waiver” request for Tennessee, the Tennessee Department of Education wants to engage a wide range of stakeholders to communicate information about the request and to gather feedback from a variety of perspectives. This will help the Tennessee Department of Education build a strong request that will: support student achievement across all Tennessee elementary and secondary schools; meet U.S. Department of Education principles; and be ready for successful implementation upon federal approval.
